Description

An architecturally rich neighborhood, Dunthorpe is perched above the west side of the Willamette River near the southern edge of Multnomah County. In the early 20th century, the area attracted well-to-do Portlanders searching for a wooded, quiet neighborhood close to the city. The elegant, spacious residences display a variety of popular architectural styles, including designs by noted local architects Roscoe Hemenway, Ellis Lawrence, Wade Pipes and others.

Please Note: This is a moderately strenuous walk, exploring a portion of the neighborhood to the east of Highway 43. Parking is limited in the area and car-pooling or Tri-Met is encouraged.

Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
