Old House Revival Tour - 2016
- $30.00 - General Public
- $20.00 - AHC Members
- $15.00 - Young Preservationist (age 18 - 25)
After a successful transformation in 2015, that included record attendance, we are excited to announce that the Old House Revival Tour is back once again!
This self-guided tour gives you the opportunity to see inside a variety of Portland area houses - providing ideas and information on how you can restore spaces lost to previous remodels, create new spaces that are sensitive to the architecture of the home, or preserve original building materials.
With the ongoing struggle over old house demolitions, we feel it is vital to demonstrate that older homes can be adapted to a 21st century lifestyle while not losing all of their original style, historic character, and charm.
No matter what style or era of house you prefer, the Old House Revival Tour will offer something for everyone. Homes on the tour are representative of many of the most common eras and architectural styles found in the Portland area between the late 1800s and the 1960s.
If you are considering taking on a home renovation project yourself, homeowners and contractors will be on hand to provide you with tips on everything from retaining original material to integrating modern appliances.
Not working on a house project? No problem! Even if you just love to see inside older houses this tour is sure to be fascinating and fun.
We hope you’ll join us as for this always popular tour – all in the pursuit of our mission to inspire people to conserve the art, craft, and context of historic buildings and places.
Become an AHC member and tour tickets are only $20 each!
Are you a young preservationist (age 18-25)? This year we're offering a limited number of half-priced tickets.
We're looking forward to another great tour and hope to see you there!
