Description

Recently, two significant Portland houses were listed in the National Register of Historic places - the Queen Anne style Elmer & Linnie Miller House in the Eliot neighborhood (built: 1895) and the Italianate Fried-Durkheimer House, perhaps more well known as the Morris Marks House (built: 1880). We're bringing together a panel of those involved in getting these houses listed, in part because they offer instructive lessons on the National Register process, but also as a means of celebrating these successful nominations.
